These are the roofing products we install:

  1. 3-Tab Asphalt Shingles are the most popular type of shingles because they are inexpensive and easy to install in comparison to other types of shingles.  There are two types of 3-Tab shingles: Fiberglass and Organic.  Fiberglass shingles are thinner and lighter because the backing is made out of fiberglass.  Organic shingles are made out of felt paper and asphalt, which makes them heavier.  Organic shingles are easy to install, especially in cold weather conditions, because they are softer and more tear resistant.  Fiberglass shingles, on the other hand, typically have longer warranties and have better fire resistance.

  2. Architectural Shingles are more unique in appearance and style.  They also have a longer manufacturer’s warranty and are more expensive than 3-Tab shingles.  The rigid texture makes architectural shingles more resistant to heat, which gives them a better fire resistance rating than 3-Tab shingles.  They are also less susceptible to curling over time.

  3. Cedar Shakes are a completely renewable resource and are fully biodegradable, making them a good choice for consumers who are environmentally conscious.  Cedar shakes are also very durable and easy to maintain or repair.   A homeowner can expect their cedar shakes to last for upwards of 30 years.  However, cedar shakes also cost more than the other types of shingles.

  4. Concrete Tile most often has a 50 year manufacturers’ warranty.  Concrete tiles have a Class A fire rating and are resistant to damage from hail, high winds, snow, and rain.  Also, they are visually appealing and come in variety of different colours and styles.

  5. Metal Roofs come in many different forms of profile, colour and texture. The most economical is the rib metal which is held down with screws and neoprene washers. The most appealing metal roof is metro metal. It is a metal with a stone coating that has several looks. It comes in a Wood Shake look, Roman Tile look and Classic Asia Tile look. The metro tile is easy to replace as it comes in panels. It also comes with a 50 year warranty.

  6. Flat Roofs. There are 3 types of flat roofs. EPDM is a rubber membrane that is glued. Tar and Gravel is perforated felt and hot tar that is built up and formed with several layers of perforated felt and tar, then covered with gravel to protect the cover from the elements of weather. Torch on membrane is the most common practice because of its application. It is comprised of several layers of SBS membrane which are heated to activate the adhesives to make a permanent bond. The method can also be applied on low slope roofs and comes in several colours.
